Initiative: Global Nazarene Lamb's Hope Proposal Apr 2008
avatar glparker1952 Supports: 2 Wow!  What can I say after I have been given more light and encouragement through the "Everything Must Change" conference or worship expereince.  I see that God is moving in ways that I never thought possible whether in fighting poverty or modern day salvery.  For me, I se the potential of the church to join a revolution that includes people with disabilities and their families.  What does this mean?  I do not know fully, but I believe that Jean Vanier through L'Arche International as part of the answer and the proposal vision of God's called the Global Nazarene Lamb's Hope Ministry (http://www.globalnazarenelambshope.blogspot.com) has another part.  I see youing people like a 16 year old teen-ager from Lee's Summit, MO getting a vision to eliminate modern day slavery.  What a dynamic concept to find ways to bring equity and prosperity into line with security where fear does not control our lives, but Love does.  Did not Jesus call us to love God with our whole heart, mind, body and spirit and to love our neighbor as ourselves?  Did Jesus not give us insight to who our neighbor is?  In the 21st century, I see my neighbors as all human beings in the world no matter what their culture or skin color or socio-economic status?  I am glad that God led me to be a part of the Everything Must Change worship experience because I was reminded how God has been leading me from birth to stand at the door and guide people to His church.  Just maybe the article by Sam Shoemaker "I Stand at the Door" was presented to me through my Mom as I was growing up as how she live her live in love for all people.  Yes, I sign up for God's Revolution whether through the Global Nazarene Lamb's Hope Ministry or the Ocean Beach Community Church of the Nazarene church plant proposal (http://www/oceanbeachcommunitychurch.faithweb.com.
