I Just did an update on figures for foreclosers.  It is grim. I have also spoken to friends and former co-worker who work collecting snd servcing mortgage loans.  They tell me we are only at the tip of the iceburg. I service auto loans and agree with my colleges in the mortgage industry.

I been in the collections profession for 7 years. Ever since Sept. of 2007 I seen the climate change.  I seen people come in the collection who never been late.  Sometime I talk with someone who just got served with a forecloser notice on to plead with e not to repo the car.

The news does not tell the whole depth of the story.

The goverment is running commericals to tell people when the mortgage company calls to pick up the phone and answer it.  If the US Goverment is producing and making TV stations air these commericals as public service announcments for the Health and Human Service Admistartion the scope of this problem  is very grim.

I was hoping to get more support on this issue.  Here is where the Church can show the love of Christ to those who may never step into one.

As we can see from the markets when you have problems in the US ecomony it affect the whole world. US is the largest support of Aid to others in the world.

Sadly many Christians are now in the same boat. The overspent and now are feeling the reprocussions of thier bad financial habits.

I work in the Collections/Credit industry and see this coming 5 years ago with many of my colleages.  The Crisis is not affecting US here in not only in the US but IN UK and affecting the world economy.

This is the Moment where the Christian Church can shine the light of hope in Christ if it wants to.

Beside just financially Aiding folks, we can teach them a solid Financial Education.  I been now trying to set up a Financial Seminar or Foreclosure Center at our Church where people can turn to for help with out being judged.  People who would never step in a Chruch are turning to them now for help.

Christ would care if people are loosing their homes. Christ would care if you auto is being Repossed.  Christ Cares that you can't make the minimum monthly payment on your Credit Card.

I know it is going to get a lot worse.

Live simply, the Jones don't care. Recycle.  Save. Don't spend more than you earn.  Credit is not money you have it is money  it is money you owe so it worth putting your purchase on your credit card at 29.99 % APR?
